Munster Bovine has retained InterSearch Ireland to assist with the appointment of a Chief Executive Officer.
Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive will be accountable and responsible for the overall strategic development, commercial growth and development of the Company’s core business covering cattle breeding, milk recording and herd health. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing other services that are complementary to Munster Bovine’s core business.
The successful candidate will have strong sectoral knowledge and outstanding leadership qualities to provide clear direction to the organisation at a time of unprecedented opportunity in the sector for Irish dairy and beef producers. Excellent customer service focus and stakeholder relationships are the cornerstones of this business. These will be critical in helping Munster Bovine’s customers to optimise their economic return and to deliver on environmental sustainability targets.
The successful candidate will have had a leadership role in a diversified genetics organisation or an Agribusiness environment as well as an excellent track record of developing and delivering business strategy, building relationships, commercial management and influencing outcomes with regulatory bodies, statutory agencies and industry partners. Candidates will have a minimum of ten years relevant general management experience and possess a leadership style that is inspiring, performance driven with outstanding people management and communications skills. Other core competencies will include strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking ability, service delivery, technical knowledge, relationship skills, coupled with the ability to contribute and inspire at the highest level.
